Students Sought for Society for Technical Communication Honor Societies
The Society for Technical Communication (STC) sponsors two student honor societies.
- Sigma Tau Chi (STX) for students in baccalaureate or graduate programs.
- Alpha Sigma (AS) for those in two-year or certificate programs.
Both societies recognize technical communication students who have
- a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5,
- an exemplary record of participation in STC, and
- the proven potential to make significant contributions to the profession.
Students who are accepted into Sigma Tau Chi or Alpha Sigma receive one year's membership in STC, a pin, and a t-shirt.
