Dr. Stevens joined the faculty of UNLV in 2004. She specializes in the literature of the long eighteenth century, the history of the novel, and literary theory. She has published articles in The Eighteenth-Century Novel, The Journal of General Education, Critical Inquiry, and elsewhere; her most recent article, "Forging Literary History: Historical Fiction and Literary Forgery in Eighteenth-Century Britain" appears in the 2008 volume of Studies in Eighteenth-Century Culture. Currently she is completing a book manuscript entitled Antiquarian Romances: Historical Fiction Before Scott.
