Dr. Rusche works on Old English and Anglo-Latin literature, concentrating
on manuscript transmission, glossaries, and monastic education. His latest
article, "Isidore's Etymologiae and the Canterbury Aldhelm Scholia," was
published in the October 2005 volume of the Journal of English and Germanic
Philology. He is currently working on a new edition of Aldhelm's "Carmen
de virginitate" that will include the manuscript glosses. His first
book - a
catalogue of the medieval manuscript fragments in the Beinecke Library
at Yale University, co-authored with Robert Babcock and Lisa Fagin Davis - was
published by Brepols in 2004.
