Jeff Jablonski currently serves as Assistant Director of General Education. His primary duties are to Chair the Writing Across the Curriculum Committee and assist with the General Education Director's curriculum planning and assessment activities. He formerly directed the Professional Writing Program, which includes the Professional Writing Certificate and Business and Technical Writing Programs. In addition to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in composition and professional writing, Prof. Jablonski also provides leadership to the General Education Writing Links program.
Prof. Jablonski's research interests include professional/technical writing, writing across the curriculum (WAC), and writing program administration. His book Academic Writing Consulting and WAC: Methods and Models for Guiding Cross-Curricular Literacy Work (Hampton Press, 2006 ) examines how writing specialists collaborate with non-writing specialists to promote cross-curricular literacy in academic contexts. Professor Jablonski teaches courses in composition theory, electronic documents and publications, and business and technical Writing. He has also conducted consulting and training for organizations such as Bechtel Nevada, Stoller-Navarro, and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
