Dr. Harp is Director of Graduate Studies in the English department. He
has published seven books (including books published by Cambridge and Norton),
31 articles, and has presented 28 conference papers. He has taught and
lectured extensively internationally, having held, for example, a Fulbright
appointment at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, and a Dissertation
Fellowship at the National University of Ireland-Galway. He is a founding
co-editor (with Stanley Stewart at UC-Riverside) of a journal in Renaissance
studies, the Ben Jonson Journal, which is housed at UNLV. His teaching
and research interests include Renaissance and Irish literature, as well
as interdisciplinary studies centered around the Great Works. He is especially
interested in mentoring graduate students' research and has helped guide
the publication of the work of more than fifteen students and the conference
presentations of many others.
