Business & Technical Writing
UNLV's business and technical writing curriculum takes a socio-rhetorical approach that emphasizes writing in context and, following the research of Dias et al.,1 aims to move students through a continuum of writing experiences ranging from less contextualized, hypothetical workplace simulations to more situated, more authentic client-based projects. In our curriculum, students learn principles of effective business and technical writing by completing a series of problem-based writing tasks that include cases and team report projects.
